Youth Tobacco Prevention

Breathe partners with Multi-Unit Housing, college campuses and other policy makers to keep young lungs healthy and smoke free, no matter where they live.

Breathe is dedicated to preventing lung disease at the source, advocating for clean air, healthy lungs and tobacco-free communities is our main goal. Breathe designed The STAND Project (Sacramento Taking Action Against Nicotine Dependence), to serve the greater Sacramento community and take a stand against nicotine dependence.

Our main objectives are to promote healthy lungs on college campuses, in multi-unit housing and among young people. Breathe is helping local community colleges and trade/vocational schools adopt smoke and tobacco free campus policies, assisting multi-unit housing areas adopt smoke-free living and recruiting youth ambassadors as tobacco control advocates.

Our targeted communities are community college and trade school students, families renting in low income areas, and youth of diverse backgrounds.
