Steve Cohn

Steve Cohn is President of the Breathe California Sacramento Region Board of Directors. He was the longest-serving Sacramento City Council member in history, elected to five terms from 1994 to 2014. He also served as in-house counsel for SMUD, the first electric utility in the nation to close a nuclear power plant by a vote of the people. He currently serves as a Board member of the Natomas Basin Conservancy and is the co-founder of the SacMoves Coalition and Sacramento Metro Advocates for Rail and Transit (SMART). He is a graduate of Yale University and the University of San Diego Law School. He and his wife Catherine met in Aix-en-Provence, France and live in East Sacramento.
