Matt Carpenter is the Director of Transportation Services at the Sacramento Area Council of Governments. In this role, he oversees planning and implementation efforts that include allocating over $150 million in funding each year to support the operation, maintenance and expansion of the Sacramento region’s transportation system. Matt holds a Masters in Urban Engineering from the University of Tokyo and a Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
