Janine Nguyen (she/they pronouns) graduated from the University of California, Davis with a BA in Sociology and a double minor in Public Health and Asian American Studies. She is passionate about utilizing cultural competency and cultural humility to support multiple marginalized communities. She is excited to focus on countering health disparities in consideration of the intersections between health equity, social justice work, tobacco control, and climate change as Breathe’s Tobacco Control Programs and Policy Manager as of 2023. In their free time, Janine enjoys writing, cooking, thrifting, and supporting local mom-and-pop shops.
