The 2024 Breathe Bike Festival and May is Bike Month Kickoff event is happening on Sunday, April 28, 11am-2pm in West Sacramento’s Bridge District.

Event Summary

Breathe Bike FestivalThe Breathe Bike Festival event is an official kickoff to the Sacramento Region’s May is Bike Month which is put on by Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates. The event is for anyone in the Sacramento Region. The goal for this event is the get youth on bikes, learn safety tips, and to be encouraged to bike as a form of sustainable transportation and get some exercise!

Bike Festival ValetDirections

Getting to the event is easy by bike. Come with your family or join a group ride. Upon arrival, you can safely leave your bike with SABA’s Bike Valet.

A group ride from Natomas is being led by licensed LCI, Arlete Hodel on Sunday morning, April 28. You can meet Arlete and her team at one of these locations as they head off for the Festival:

  • 10:00 – Leave from Red Sea & Hovnanian.
  • 10:30 – Meet at the bike/ped bridge over I-80 near Peregrine Park at 10:30.

Arlete and her team will also lead a ride back, if interested.

Join licensed LCI Sonya Hendren in a KIDS MURAL RIDE with Sacramento Kidical Mass on your way to the event! The three mile ride will tour murals between downtown and the event in West Sacramento. Meet 1325 S Street at 10am, rollout 10:30. Click here for the flyer for more details.

If you are driving to the event, paid parking is available at the City lots along Bridge Street between Riverfront and 5th Street.
