Mel Lozano

Air Quality Intern

Mel Lozano is a Senior at the University of California, Davis. In June she will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning with a concentration in Conservation Management. Originating from Sonoma County, Mel has an interest in water and air quality policy, especially in relation to wildfire. Her other environmental interests are food waste, public land management, and public transportation. Some of her favorite work experiences include her internships with the USDA and the Southwest Conservation Corps as well as the two years she spent as an Assistant Winemaker. She is excited to work with Breathe to make a positive impact in the community. In her free time, Mel enjoys knitting, sewing, or taking a beautiful walk with her 8-year-old dog, Poppy.
