Mia Machado graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science — Public Service and a minor in Luso-Brazilian Studies. She has been involved with human rights advocacy at non-profits for over seven years and is particularly passionate about the intersection between social justice work and climate change. She is excited to focus her environmental justice on the regional level for the first time in her new role as BREATHE’s Air Quality Programs and Policy Manager. In her free time Mia enjoys going on runs, skating, and painting.
