Joseph Santiago II

OCCS Program Manager

Joseph Santiago II joined Breathe in 2019 to manage and develop the Our Community CarShare (OCCS) program. OCCS provides electric vehicles at little to no cost to residents in traditionally disadvantaged communities in the Sacramento region. Joseph grew up in both Orlando, Florida and New York, New York. He holds a B.S. in Sustainable Urban Environments from the Tandon School of Engineering at New York University and previously served as an AmeriCorps Climate Fellow at the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District. Joseph has always been fascinated by public transit and urban design thanks to years of playing city building video games. Joseph’s professional goals include promoting and implementing carbon-free, equitable transit solutions and supporting hyper-local, community resilience actions against global climate change. In his spare time Joseph is an active two wheeled enthusiast (both bicycles and motorcycles), dancer and storyteller.
