Planning your Trek starts here! We always have a lot of information to share with our Trekkers and Volunteers, from early arrival dates, to accommodations, prizes and much more. All participants will receive a Trekkers Packet before the event that details directions to the event, what to bring, Cycling Rules of the Road, daily menus, arrival schedules and details, schedules of daily activities, a camp map, a waiver of liability form, a team photo schedule, and a list of our sponsors.
Accommodations
The beautiful Petaluma KOA is ranked as one of the top RV campgrounds in California. In addition to charming lodges, it offers great RV spots with full services under the redwoods, camping with near-by showers, a huge swimming pool with sauna, a convenient store for supplies, a dog park, and more. It’s location near Highway 101 makes for easy access to local breweries, wineries, restaurants, and miles of beautiful countryside. Check out the KOA’s website.
Tent Camping
Tent camping at the KOA on Friday – Sunday (three days, two nights) is included in the standard Trek Package. Many campers arrive late Thursday afternoon to avoid an early morning drive before the start of the Trek on Friday morning. The Thursday night tent camping fee is $25. No meals are served by the Trek on Thursday night – many cycling teams take advantage of the opportunity to have team get-togethers at local restaurants on Thursday night. Campers registered on the same cycling team, share a group camp site with their team mates. Trekkers and volunteers who choose alternate lodging are responsible for making their own reservations and paying associated fees.
RV Camping
If you are bringing an RV please contact the Petaluma KOA at 707-763-1492 and they will assist you. The KOA staff will make an effort to group RV’s from the Breathe Bike Trek together in the same general area.
Lodges And Kabins
The KOA has fantastic on-site lodging available on a first come, first served basis. If you would like more information don’t hesitate to visit their website, petalumakoa.com, or call the number above. Kabin and Lodge reservations will also be handled by KOA staff.
