Cheri Davis works for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), where she oversees several programs that help customers save energy and the environment.  Cheri has a broad background in energy policy and programs from her previous work at the California Energy Commission and the Air Resources Board, where she helped develop the State’s renewable energy programs as well as greenhouse gas reduction strategies pursuant to AB 32.  One of her missions in life is to encourage others to compost, thus restoring valuable nutrients to the soil and avoiding the needless filling of landfills (and the resulting greenhouse gasses). In her spare time, Cheri enjoys hiking and biking, and traveling.
