With the ETBT routes, we try hard to accommodate all level cyclists. Each day there will be three routes for Trekkers to choose from…one relatively flat, another with some challenging hills, and one for experienced, conditioned riders with some major climbs.

Route descriptions:

  • Day 1: Out and back north on CA 128 through the beautiful Alexander Valley. Have lunch next to the Russian River.

    Day 1 Short Route = 39 miles
    Climb Elevation: 2,370 ft
    Min Elevation: 155 ft
    Max Elevation: 746 ft

    Day 1 Middle Route = 41 miles
    Climb Elevation: 2370 ft
    Min Elevation: 155 ft
    Max Elevation: 982 ft

    Day 1 Long Route = 55 miles
    Climb Elevation: 3,868 ft
    Min Elevation: 155 ft
    Max Elevation: 982 ft

  • Day 2: Option to stay on the Napa Valley floor for minimal climbing or choose to ride up to Pope Valley. Have lunch at Conn Dam (short and middle routes) or at Damonte Hubcap Ranch (for those choosing the long route).

    Day 2 Short Route = 31 miles
    Climb Elevation: 1,957 ft
    Min Elevation: 180 ft
    Max Elevation: 416 ft

    Day 2 Middle Route = 48 miles
    Climb Elevation: 4,466 ft
    Min Elevation: 180 ft
    Max Elevation: 1,111 ft

    Day 2 Long Route = 53 miles
    Climb Elevation: 5,449
    Min Elevation: 180 ft
    Max Elevation: 1,892 ft

  • Day 3: Option to stay on the Napa Valley floor (again minimal climbing), take a challenging climb up towards Angwin, or a major climb (experienced cyclists only) to the Petrified Forest area. BBQ finale will be back at the Fairgrounds.

    Day 3 Short Route = 28 miles
    Climb Elevation: 1,964 ft
    Min Elevation: 212 ft
    Max Elevation: 476 ft

    Day 3 Middle Route = 37 miles
    Climb Elevation: 3,662 ft
    Min Elevation: 203 ft
    Max Elevation: 1,410 ft

    Day 3 Long Route = 36 miles
    Climb Elevation: 4,238
    Min Elevation: 216 ft
    Max Elevation: 2,042 ft
