Detailed INFORMATION for Riders
Early arrival and camping is available for Trekkers and Camp Guests who wish to arrive and camp the night before the Trek starts. Pre-registration is required and costs $20/person for tent campers. RV and Kabin/Lodge early arrivals will be organized through the KOA reservation desk. Early arrival and check-in for Thursday is from 4pm-8pm. (Evening meal is not included.) Thursday night registration information will be sent to trekkers prior to the Trek.
Tent camping at the KOA is included in the standard Trek Package. Trekkers and volunteers who choose alternate lodging are responsible for making their own reservations and paying associated fees.
If you are bringing an RV please contact the Petaluma KOA at 707-763-1492 and they will assist you.
Lodges and Kabins
The KOA has fantastic on-site lodging available on a first come, first served basis. If you would like more information don’t hesitate to visit their website, petalumakoa.com, or call the number above. Kabin and Lodge reservations will also be handled by KOA staff.
Being a Rider

You are allowed to bring guests with you who are not riding, but they must pre-register and pre-pay. Camp Guests must fill out the 2017 Camp Guest Application and turn it in with payment by August 25, 2017. Applications will not be accepted beyond this date.Download the 2017 camp guest application

What to bring on the Trek
We have created a packing list for the Trek. Even though we will probably have excellent weather, it is always a good idea to be prepared for variable weather. The ideas listed are only recommendations. You should modify them to fit your own preferences and needs and the weather forecast.

The daily schedule includes times for riding, in-camp activities, meal times and more. We will post the daily schedule as soon as it is available.
Trekkers will enjoy catered meals by Red Oak BBQ. The 2017 menu will be available online soon.
Trek Central is the main information hub on the Trek. Come to Trek Central for all your Trek-related needs, including late check-in and/or early departure, fundraising incentive pick-up, lost and found, basic first aid, additional donation drop off, daily schedules, menus, route maps, information about what to do in camp or in the area, and much more!
- Free Snacks: On both Friday and Saturday afternoon there will be free snacks served in-camp to tide you over until dinner.
- Massages: Massages are very popular, so be sure to sign up early! Sign-ups will take place on Friday morning during Trek registration as well as on Friday and Saturday afternoon at the massage area. Massages are $25, which includes a 20 minute massage and a $5 tip for your massage therapist. Proceeds will be donated back to Breathe California!
- Cantina: Get a beer, wine, margarita, soda or water at the Cantina. The Afternoon Cantina will be open Friday and Saturday afternoon and the Evening Cantina will be open Friday and Saturday evening. All proceeds are donated back to Breathe California!
- Entertainment: Afternoon and evening entertainment will be provided on Friday and Saturday in-camp. We will post the details as soon as they are available.
