Yes. There is a registration fee and a minimum donation required to participate in the Trek.

Registration Fee: There is a $25 Very Early Bird Registration Fee if you register prior to February 28, 2019 a $40 Registration Fee between March 1, 2019 and June 30, 20198, and a $65 registration fee between July 1, 2019 and August 23, 2019.

Minimum Donation: The minimum donation for the ride is $550, in addition to the registration fee. Please note the minimum donation fee is due by August 23, 2019

A team consists of 5 or more people. It can be your friends, family or co-workers or a combination. Each team has a Team Captain, who is invited to two free Team Captain Breakfasts, receives a team photo, and more. If you are interested in creating a team, you can either indicate it on your registration form when you register, or contact Steve Boswell by phone at 916 444 5900 ext. 217 or via email at

If you receive offline donations (donations not submitted via the online donation link), you can stop by or send them in to our office at:

Please submit your donations as you receive them. Offline donations will not show on your progress page until we confirm them at the office. Be sure to include your name and/or Trekker number somewhere on the donations.

If possible, please do not mail cash. Breathe will not be responsible for any donations lost in the mail.

The minimum age to participate is 13. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Breathe Bike Trek has all levels of cyclists, from beginners to advanced. Each day on the ride there will be various route options to choose from that accommodate all levels.

Yes, you can arrive and camp on Thursday night. Trekkers wishing to arrive early and camp Thursday night are required to pre-register with Breathe California and pre-pay a nominal $25 per person fee (covers the cost of camping and breakfast on Friday morning).

Yes, you can bring a guest, but they are not allowed to ride as part of the Trek for liability reasons. Please complete the Camp Guest Application and turn it in with payment by Friday, August 23, 2019.

The Camp Guest Form and Camp Guest Policy will be posted as soon as they are available.

If you find out that you can’t go on the Trek, please notify Breathe California as soon as possible, so that we can have an accurate number count. Please note that registration fees and donations are non-refundable.
