Sue/Nene the Clown

Sue played soccer growing up, but couldn’t run laps because of her asthma. It was so bad that her whole family moved cross-country for better air quality. She now keeps an inhaler in every bag, and enjoys cycling because her asthma is under control. Her mantra is, “I’ve found many hills I couldn’t ride, but not one I couldn’t walk!” Sue works for the City of Roseville on Alternative Transportation and Air Quality, serves on Breathe California’s Board, and did two sprint triathlons at age 40. She even learned to walk on stilts as a clown – because asthma doesn’t slow her down!
