Sadoe the Believer

Sadoe is a passionate student finishing his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health at Oregon State University. He believes that “healthier is happier” and wants to share that mantra with people by pursuing a career in public health. Sadoe worked to overcome his shyness as he grew up and is excited about the opportunity to do outreach and talk to people about their health through his internship with BREATHE. While he has been an athlete his whole life, focusing mainly on basketball, it wasn’t until he got older that he realized health should not be taken for granted. Now, he believes that access to healthy air is a social justice issue and that “no community should be saddled with more environmental burdens and less environmental benefits than any other community.” He considers organizations like BREATHE that work on changing policies and implementing new laws to be instrumental in addressing this issue.
