Mazzy and her family are sure to turn off their lights when they leave the room to conserve energy and are avid recyclers. However, Mazzy did not realize how much pollution our society really makes until she started attending the O24U afternoon workshops. She finds all the different ways we can reduce pollution interesting and loves being able to share the information with her peers about things like how dangerous store bought cleaners can be. Mazzy feels “we should definitely walk or ride bikes more than driving” and clean air is important “because it cleans germs off stuff that makes pollution…. We need to be able to breathe right.” In the future, Mazzy hopes to see people using better, safer cleaners that will not pollute the air with chemicals.
