Britain loves learning new things about the environment in her O24U class. Through the many things she’s taken away from the afternoon program, information about how air is polluted and our landfill is used resonated with her most. Britain says, “Landfill is not very good. We throw things away that can be recycled, reused or reduced.” She does her part to help the environment by conserving water and does not take showers every day. Britain highly encourages others to do the same. Having clean air is especially important to Britain because it will help us all breathe better, and the pollutants will not hurt our lungs and throat. In the future, Britain hopes to see people start walking more, like she walks to and from school, and she also hopes to see the use of hovercrafts as an alternative mode of transportation.
